Alex Trott (“developer”, “we”, “us”) built FavIconIt as a macOS application. This privacy policy explains how the app handles your data.

The short version

FavIconIt does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything happens locally on your Mac.

Data Collection

FavIconIt does not collect any data whatsoever. The app:

Does not require an account or sign-in.
Does not use analytics, crash reporting, or telemetry.
Does not make any network requests.
Does not contain any third-party SDKs or tracking frameworks.
Does not use cookies or similar technologies.

Image Processing

All image processing is performed entirely on your device. The images you provide and the favicon files generated from them never leave your Mac. Files are only saved to locations you explicitly choose.

File Access

FavIconIt accesses files solely through macOS system dialogs (file picker and drag-and-drop). The app runs inside the macOS App Sandbox and can only read files you select and write to folders you choose. It does not access any other files on your system.

Third-Party Services

FavIconIt does not integrate with or send data to any third-party services.

Children’s Privacy

FavIconIt does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be posted here with an updated effective date.
